BALLER MOVE: Add In 14-Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 5% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Indiana Pacers point guard T.J. McConnell has started to emerge lately after a somewhat sluggish start to his first year in Indiana. The fifth-year guard had an extremely effective two-game stint from November 8 to November 10 where he averaged 14.5 points, 8.5 assists and a block while shooting over 70% from the field and not recording a single turnover. He's averaging 4.5 assists per game on the year and should certainly be on the radar of anyone who needs help in the category.
McConnell has been playing between 15 and 20 minutes per game most nights. Those minutes look to be relatively safe for the short-term, essentially as long as Victor Oladipo (quad) remains out. McConnell should be able to maintain around five assists per game in Oladipo's absence and Oladipo should still be out at least another month, maybe two, though no timetable has been given for his return.
Add McConnell in leagues of 14 or more teams if you need help in assists. He likely won't stand out in any other single category, but he also won't hurt you immensely in any category as well. In more shallow leagues, he can remain on waivers.
