Lou Williams Drops 31 In Losing Effort
5 years agoLos Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams bounced back from his 8-for-22 shooting performance in Wednesday night's game. The 33-year-old got the start Thursday with star Kawhi Leonard resting and made the most of the opportunity. Williams posted 31 points, two rebounds, nine assists, and two steals in his team's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. His 55 percent shooting was his second-best mark of the year. He also attempted double-digit free throws for the fourth time. Through 12 games, Williams has averaged career-highs in minutes (33.1), points (22.8) and assists (5.8.) With Paul George and Kawhi Leonard running the show, Williams may see less playing time moving forward. He'll still return good fantasy value, particularly in points, assists, free throws and threes.
