Vancouver Canucks center Elias Pettersson scored once at even strength and once on the power play during Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Nashville Predators. Pettersson has had a marvelous start to the season for the Canucks, posting eight goals, 15 assists, 11 power-play points, and 46 shots through 19 games. The 21-year-old forward has already blossomed into an elite offensive talent, and he serves as the linchpin of a productive forward core. Pettersson and the Canucks will be back in action on Thursday night against the Dallas Stars.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller

Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) was labeled day-to-day by head coach Rick Tocchet on Sunday. Pettersson was injured in Saturday's loss to the New York Rangers. It looks like the Swedish star avoided a serious injury, but he may still miss some time. The Canucks will return to action on Monday against the New Jersey Devils. Pius Suter and Teddy Blueger will likely see extra action if Pettersson can't play on Monday. Suter is the more attractive fantasy option between the two, as the Swiss forward has had a productive campaign with a career-high 20 goals and 34 points in 69 games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Vancouver Canucks center Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) failed to finish Saturday's contest against the New York Rangers. He seemed to have gotten hurt during a faceoff in the second period. Pettersson logged only 7:50 of action in a 5-3 loss and didn't do any scoring for the first time in seven games. The Canucks must shake up their first line if Pettersson has to miss additional time, and the team's center depth will be tested since Filip Chytil (upper body) is already sidelined. Vancouver will be back in action on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Vancouver Canucks center Elias Pettersson tallied a goal and assist during their shootout victory over the Calgary Flames on Wednesday evening. In the opening frame, Pettersson would tally the secondary assist on Pius Suter's power-play goal. Later in the third, Pettersson would find the back of the net which tied the game and eventually forced overtime. The 26-year-old would also be successful on his shootout attempt. This outing extended his point streak to two games. Over his last four, Pettersson has tallied four points (three goals) while tallying nine shots with five blocks. However, before this recent stretch, Pettersson went 15 games without scoring a goal. He only tallied five helpers during this goal drought and held a -3 rating. He is worth monitoring in DFS as he appears to be turning the corner. He will look to stay hot on Saturday evening in a favorable matchup against the Blackhawks.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Vancouver Canucks rookie defenseman Elias Pettersson (upper body) was unable to finish Wednesday's contest against the Calgary Flames. The 21-year-old defenseman sustained this injury in the opening frame. He logged just over four minutes of ice time prior to exiting. Fantasy managers should monitor his status before their next contest on Saturday evening against the Chicago Blackhawks. Entering Wednesday's game, the third-round pick tallied one point (an assist) over his last four games while logging five hits and five blocked shots. Through his first 15 NHL contests, Pettersson has tallied just two points (both helpers) while adding 12 shots, 20 hits, and 11 blocks. If he were to miss time, the Canucks may have to promote a defenseman from their AHL affiliate.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
