BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 6% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver James Washington caught his first touchdown of the season in Week 10 against the Rams. He led the Steelers with six catches and 90 receiving yards on the day.
Washington has earned six or more targets in three of his past four games, but this past week's game was his first outing with over 70 receiving yards. Washington, Diontae Johnson and JuJu Smith-Schuster are the team's clear top three receivers, but their production has fluctuated greatly since Mason Rudolph took over as the team's starting quarterback.
As Smith-Schuster began to see a number of double teams early in the year, Johnson started to take advantage of an increase in opportunities. He scored three touchdowns over a five-game span from late September to late October, but has struggled since then. Washington's recent surge has suggested that he might actually be the team's top receiving option apart from Smith-Schuster going forward.
All in all, both Washington and Johnson figure to be a bit inconsistent going forward, but if you need wide receiver help in leagues of 12 or more teams, Washington is worthy of a speculative add. The Steelers have a very favorable schedule ahead, facing the Browns twice and the Bengals in the next three weeks, so the team's wideouts should have ample opportunities to produce.
