Golden Tate Picks Up Slack For Giants
5 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate did his best to make up for the team's missing pieces by hauling in four passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday. Tate's eight targets were second on the team, and he beat the Jets a few times with solid yards after the catch. The veteran has been good since coming back from a suspension to start the year, but now may be the best time to try and sell high. The Giants have a bye and then come back to face the Bears Defense, by which time Sterling Shepard (concussion) and Evan Engram (foot) may be back and Saquon Barkley may be healthier. Plus, Darius Slayton had more targets and catches than Tate this week, so the Giants receiving corps may be getting awfully crowded soon.
