Evan Engram Won't Play In Week 10
5 years agoNew York Giants tight end Evan Engram (foot) said he will not play in Week 10 against the Jets, but he hopes to return after that. The injury to his left foot is not a Lisfranc injury, and Engram called it a "low-grade" sprain. “Could be a lot worse,” Engram said. “That was the worry, that it was a real severe injury.” Consider him week-to-week for now and make plans to be without him against the Jets this Sunday. Rhett Ellison should be the primary pass-catching tight end with Engram on the shelf for at least one game, but he'll profile as a low-end TE2 for desperate owners. Golden Tate and Darius Slayton have great opportunities to go off in a great matchup with the Jets with Engram and wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion) out.
