Dwayne Haskins Expected To Remain The Starter
5 years agoWashington Redskins interim head coach Bill Callahan hasn't committed to a starting quarterback coming out of the team's Week 10 bye, but the expectation is that rookie Dwayne Haskins will continue in the role in Week 11 against the Jets, according to sources. Washington didn't want to put much on Haskins' plate in his starting debut in Week 9 against the tough Bills Defense, so he attempted just 22 passes and threw for 144 yards without a touchdown or interception. Gang Green's defense presents a much better opportunity for him to be successful, but the 'Skins offense remains a low-upside, run-first unit under Callahan. Haskins will remain a shaky low-end QB2 in redraft leagues if he continues to start.
