Jake Marisnick Gets Starting Nod For Game 4
5 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick will start and hit eighth in Game 4 of the World Series on Saturday. With National left-handed starter Patrick Corbin on the mound, veteran Josh Reddick will come off the bench in this pivotal game. This is quite a gamble from manager A.J. Hinch as Marisnick has seen only four postseason at-bats and mostly has served as a defensive replacement. Marisnick posted only a .422 slugging percentage against left-handed pitching this season so the move is a bit of a head-scratcher. Regardless of his starting status, expect Marisnick to play the first five innings or so before the Astros open up their bench.
