Devonta Freeman Is An RB2 In Week 8
5 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman struggled mightily in Week 7 before being ejected in the third quarter. Freeman has had a difficult season as a whole, averaging just 3.5 yards per carry and tallying over 30 rushing yards just twice over seven games this year. However, he's been extremely involved in the passing game with 27 catches, 209 yards and three touchdowns, and the team will be without No. 2 back Ito Smith (concussion) this week. Freeman should see around 20 touches against the Seahawks in Week 8, which gives him a good opportunity to score and accumulate at least around 80 total yards with multiple catches. If Matt Ryan (ankle) is out and Matt Schaub is the starter, Freeman takes a small hit but he's still a low-end RB2 option.
