Victor Hedman Buries Game-Winner On Wednesday
5 years agoTampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman registered the game-deciding goal as his team took down the Penguins 3-2 on Wednesday. The 23-year-old found the back of the net on a shot from the point with just 57 seconds remaining in order to give the Lightning the full two points in regulation. With the marker, Hedman extended his personal point streak to four games (two goals, two assists over that span). While leading all Tampa skaters with 23:22 of ice time, the Swedish native also posted three shots on goal, two hits and a block in the contest. After failing to cross the 60-point plateau for the first time in three seasons in 2018-2019, Hedman is off to a nice start thus far, as displayed by his eight points (two goals, six assists), three power-play goals, 11 shots and 11 hits through nine games. He'll take the ice next against the Predators on Saturday.
