Freddie Freeman Undergoes Elbow Surgery
Freddie Freeman (elbow) underwent arthroscopic right elbow surgery on Wednesday in New York. Dr. David Altchek removed three fragmented loose bodies and cleaned up multiple bone spur formations in Freeman's elbow. The All-Star first baseman is expected to be ready for spring training in 2020. The 30-year-old had a quiet National League Division Series against the Cardinals but hit a career-high 38 home runs and drove in 121 runs in 158 games in 2019. He'll continue to be an early-round target as one of the best all-around first baseman in the league.
