Tevin Coleman Showing His Value
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman has become a focal point of the team’s offense since returning in Week 5 from injury. Coleman has accrued 36 touches in two games, cashing in with 158 scrimmage yards and a couple scores. Entering Week 7 against the Washington Redskins, the dual-threat runner will flirt with backend RB1 status against a woeful defense that ranks terribly against both pass (24th) and run (20th). While he’ll continue splitting snaps with Matt Breida, Coleman should have plenty of opportunities in the run-heavy Niners scheme that should continue dominating time of possession.
