Jimmy Garoppolo Might Finally Need To Let Loose
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been the quintessential game manager amidst the team’s early-season undefeated run. With the Niners leading the league in rushing plays (57 percent), Jimmy G has yet to surpass 300 pass yards in any contest. That could change in Week 6 when the Niners play underdogs against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams boast a stiff rush defense but have been vulnerable against the pass, ranking 24th by DVOA. Outside of safety net tight end George Kittle, Garoppolo has been indiscriminate in targeting receivers. That could bode well on Sunday if Garoppolo can protect the football. Searching for just his second mistake-free performance, Garoppolo is an upside QB2 in Week 6.
