Tevin Coleman's Injury In Rear View Mirror
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Tevin Coleman showed no lingering effects of a high ankle sprain in Week 5, dashing for 97 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. He enters Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams as an equal partner in football’s best rushing committee with Matt Breida. Coleman played 34 percent of snaps last week, but he and Breida yielded most of garbage time to Raheem Mostert (32 percent). Expect that share to rise and both Coleman and Breida to continue capitalizing on an offensive line that’s permitted 5.4 adjusted line yards per carry, best in the NFL. Even with the Rams top-10 run defense, dial up Coleman as an RB2.
