Brent Burns Tallies Two Points In Losing Affair
5 years agoSan Jose Sharks defenseman posted his first goal of the season and picked up an assist but it wasn't enough for his team to escape a 5-2 loss to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday. Putting aside his team's winless start to the season, Burns' production was a welcome sight for fantasy owners as he made his presence known by also registering two penalty minutes, four shots, and a hit in 24:59 of ice time in the contest. Despite turning 35-year-old this season, the hulking blueliner remains one of, if not the most, valuable players at his position in nearly all fantasy formats. Now with three points (one goal, two assists) in his first four games in 2019-2020, Burns will look to translate his individual production into team wins - starting on Thursday as the Sharks pay a visit to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks.
