BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 34% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson has earned at least six targets in three straight games and led the team with eight targets in Week 5 against the Ravens. He only turned his eight targets this past week into 27 yards, but he had five receptions, which is a solid total for PPR formats.
Johnson is a rookie third-round pick who the Steelers seem determined to feature in their offense going forward. His main competition for playing time at this point is James Washington, who left the game this past week with a shoulder injury.
Johnson caught touchdown passes in Weeks 4 and 5. He's averaging 11 yards per reception, which isn't a great number, but it could suggest that he'll be used as more of a possession receiver for the Steelers going forward, which is promising for PPR formats but may limit his upside overall.
Add Johnson in leagues of 12 teams or deeper. He has an excellent opportunity as the No. 2 receiver in Pittsburgh and could be a solid WR3 or flex option going forward, especially in PPR formats.
