James Reimer To Make First Start For Carolina
5 years agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender James Reimer will get the nod for the first time in his new uniform on Saturday, set to take on the visiting Washington Capitals. Acquired from the Panthers via trade in the offseason, Reimer will look to make a good impression in his new role as the team's backup netminder. The 31-year-old is coming off a rough three-year stint in Florida - highlighted by his 13 wins, 3.09 goals-against average and .900 save percentage in 36 appearances in 2018-2019. Fantasy owners will likely be taking a wait-and-see approach with Reimer this season but he could prove to be a valuable streamer playing behind a solid Hurricanes team.
