Jadeveon Clowney, Tedric Thompson Come Up Huge
5 years agoA week after he snagged an interception and took it to the house, Seattle Seahawks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney came up big again. This time, he stripped and recovered a fumble from LA running back Todd Gurley, bailing Seattle out when it looked like the Rams were about to hang another touchdown on them. It was Gurley's first lost fumble in over a year. Meanwhile, safety Tedric Thompson made one of the most spectacular interceptions ever seen as he changed direction on a dime, dove, and snuck his fingers under a tipped pass just before it touched the ground late in the fourth quarter. He had to tip it up in the air twice before he was able to corral it, and it took a challenge and instant replay review to change the call to rule it an interception, but it ended up being a critical play that helped get Seattle the victory. The Seahawks Defense wasn't phenomenal on Thursday, but they did just enough to give the team the chance to win. A little bit of left-to-right wind finished the job for them.
