Carey Price Turns Back the Clock, Stops 40 Shots in Loss
5 years agoMontreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price looked like his former self in the season opener, turning away 40 of 43 shots against the Carolina Hurricanes before ultimately losing in a shootout. After four straight seasons of a .923 save percentage or better, Price came back down to earth in the past two seasons, posting a .900 and .918 save percentage respectively. The Canadiens will need him to have a comeback season in 2019-2020 if he wants to make a cup run with this roster, and this game could be the beginning of a successful run for the former Vezina and Hart Memorial Trophy winner.
