NFL DFS Prop Picks for Week 5 - Monkey Knife Fight

We're in Week 5 of the NFL season, and our friends at Monkey Knife Fight are offering some of the coolest, and easiest to win, NFL DFS games in the industry.

On MKF, there are no massive tournaments where you have to get ridiculously lucky just to cash. You're just playing against the house, and the dudes at MKF have fallen all over themselves to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money.

As always, there are a few games we can look to target this week including the Falcons at Texans, Cardinals at Bengals, and Buccaneers at Saints.

Editor's Note: Here's a great special offer for all RotoBaller readers from our Monkey Knife Fight friends: New AND Existing Player Bonus. All players receive a 100% matched signup or reload bonus up to $50 with code 'RBNFL19'. Sign up and deposit, and use our prop picks to get off on a winning foot!

Falcons @ Texans

Over/Under Contest

Recommended Prop Pick: Two of two:  Matt Ryan over 303.5 passing yards and Deshaun Watson over 273.5 passing yards

The Falcons at the Texans pits two teams against each other that have not been very good at running the ball but also have not been great at stopping the pass. Both of these teams should enter the game looking to air it out. The Texans have given up 1,133 yards through the air to quarterbacks so far this season, meanwhile, the Falcons have given up 890 yards. The 890 may not seem like much, but when you add in the fact that they faced Kirk Cousins (who only threw the ball 10 times in that game), Jacoby Brissett, and Marcus Mariota, the number is a little more shocking. Matt Ryan has thrown for over 300 yards in each of his first four games and should do so again in this one. Watson is coming off a game where he missed multiple deep throws to DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller, so he will have plenty of motivation to right the ship this week. He and the Texans found themselves in a similar style track meet two weeks ago vs. the Chargers, and he threw for 351 yards and three touchdowns en route to a 27-20 victory. I would expect a similar performance in this game.

Cardinals @ Bengals

Rush Hour Contest

Recommended Prop Pick: Joe Mixon and David Johnson over 128.5 rushing yards.

This pick is a little risky since both teams are relatively awful, but I think it should come through. Both the Cardinals and Bengals have horrible run defenses. The Bengals rank fifth-worst in the league in terms of rushing yards allowed to the running back position, allowing 120.75 yards per game. Likewise, the Cardinals rank eighth-worst in the category, allowing 105.5 yards per game. Mixon has received 30 carries in the last two games and Johnson has averaged nearly 12 carries a game even though Cardinals games have not been very close. This game is expected to be close as the Bengals are favored by a field goal in a game with a projected total of 47.5. Both teams should be able to focus on the running game and likely will not need to abandon it at any point due to the scoreboard.

Buccaneers @ Saints

Fantasy Challenge Contest

Recommended Prop Pick: Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Michael Thomas over 58.5 fantasy points.

This game has a relatively high total of 46.5 with the Saints projected to win 25-22, according to Vegas. Both of these teams also have defenses that struggle mightily against the pass. The Bucs currently rank second-worst in receiving yards allowed to wide receivers with a total of 857 yards, and the Saints rank fourth-worst with 836 yards allowed. Each of these wide receivers is a target monster as they all average over eight targets per game with Michael Thomas averaging a whopping 10.5 targets per game. Godwin and Evans are especially great in these types of situations because they can go off and almost secure the total by themselves. Each of them has a 40-plus point performance this season. Add this in with the stable production of Michael Thomas, whose lowest output this season is 16.40 points, and you have a solid prop. For what it's worth, Mike Evans has also had some huge performances in New Orleans. Last season, Evans put up seven catches for 147 yards and touchdown and in 2016 he put up seven catches for 97 yards and a touchdown in the Big Easy.
