Freddie Freeman Takes Stellar Season Into NLDS
5 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman once again proved to be one of the best pure hitters in the game this season. The MVP candidate's numbers dipped a bit in the second half, but that did not prevent him from posting a line of .295/.389/.549 with 34 doubles, 38 home runs, 113 runs scored and 121 runs batted in. Freeman was practically money in the bank with runners in scoring position, hitting .358 while also posting a .367 clip in the late innings of close ballgames. If the Braves have dreams of winning the World Series, they will need Freeman to be at his best. Freeman is, perhaps, the best fantasy option at first base among the teams remaining in the playoffs.
