Brandon Woodruff Named Starter for Wild Card Game
5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff has been named the starting pitcher for Tuesday's Wild Card game against the Washington Nationals. Woodruff has only made two appearances on the mound since missing two months due to an oblique injury. He's posting a 3.62 ERA with 143 strikeouts in 121 2/3 innings this season. It's unclear how deep Woodruff is going to work into Tuesday's contest. The Brewers may decide to lean on the bullpen for this one.
