BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 1% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Cleveland Browns wide receiver Antonio Callaway will be making his debut in Week 5 after being suspended for the first four games of the season due to violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. The timing of his return could be fortunate from a fantasy standpoint for two key reasons.
First, the Browns are coming off their best offensive showing of the season by a longshot. They scored 40 points in Week 4 against the Ravens after compiling just 49 total points through the previous three games. So there's now hope that the team might be able to sustain multiple relevant fantasy options going forward.
Second, the team could be without Jarvis Landry (concussion) in Week 5 as he left this past week's game with a concussion and is currently questionable for the team's upcoming matchup against the 49ers. Landry has 33 targets on the season, so a lot of opportunities open up if he misses time. Plus, the team is also currently without pass-catching tight end David Njoku (wrist/concussion), who hasn't played since Week 1 and seems to still be week-to-week.
Callaway is a potential opportunistic add with short-term value in deep leagues of 14+ teams. In more shallow leagues, he can mostly be ignored for now. He doesn't have longterm appeal unless Landry or Odell Beckham Jr. are set to miss extended time.
