Brandin Cooks Heavily Involved In Offense
5 years agoWhen Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Brandin Cooks opened the season with two catches for 39 yards, many fantasy owners panicked that the star’s workload had been drastically cut. Three weeks into the season, these concerns seem distant. Appearing to be second in line for targets behind counterpart Cooper Kupp, Cooks dominated a beleaguered Cleveland Browns secondary for eight receptions on 12 targets for 112 yards in the team’s Week 3 20-13 victory. While teammate Robert Woods, who has had the lowest target share among starting Rams receivers in the past two games, may rebound and command more volume, Cooks’ deep-ball ability and fantastic route-running will always keep him relevant, especially against a Tampa Bay defense that gave up a 75-yard TD to tight end Evan Engram in Week 3. Consider Cooks a mid-tier WR2 in standard and PPR formats with potential WR1 upside.
