Jacob Waguespack Closes Season On High Note
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Jacob Waguespack had a relatively solid first season in the majors and his last start of the year on Wednesday was one of the highlights. Waguespack pitched six scoreless innings against the Orioles, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out five and earning his fifth win of the season. Waguespack closes the year with a 4.35 ERA and 1.33 WHIP. He only struck out 63 batters, compared with 29 walks, over 78 innings on the year, so he'll need to improve upon his strikeout rate and K:BB ratio in order to be worthy of draft consideration in deep leagues for 2020.
