Mason Rudolph Gets Tough First Start
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph draws his first NFL start on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. The Oklahoma State product got his first taste of the NFL regular season in Week 2, after starting the second half in place of Ben Roethlisberger (elbow). He threw for 112 yards, two scores, and an interception. The Steelers are very confident in their 2018 third-round pick going forward. However, the 49ers have allowed just 19.4 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks through the first two weeks, and they're tied for second with four interceptions on defense. Rudolph has upside when throwing to JuJu Smith-Schuster and Vance McDonald, but on the road, he is nothing more than a mid-range QB2 and a deep DFS dart throw.
