Yordan Alvarez Knocks Out 26th Home Run
5 years agoHouston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez went 1-for-3 with one home run in the Astros 4-1 win over the Rangers on Tuesday. After a dip in production to open up the month, Alvarez is back to doing what he does best; pulverizing the baseball. Over his last nine games, the rookie is 12-for-30 (.400) with four doubles, four home runs and 12 runs batted in. Alvarez has only 282 plate appearances all season but has 23 doubles, 26 home runs and 76 runs batted in. He will be a force in the upcoming playoffs and fantasy owners have to be salivating thinking about what Alvarez could be capable of next season with 500-plus at-bats.
