Alex Gordon Knocks In Two In Win
5 years agoKansas City Royals veteran outfielder Alex Gordon smacked a two-run single in the top of the fifth inning on Monday to tie the game and help the team eventually take the win. It was a nice change of pace for the longtime Royal, as he's finishing out another mediocre (at best) season with the team. Gordon has continued to be a stud in left field, racking up seven more assists this season, but his offensive degradation has continued. He's become a smarter hitter, so at least his batting average isn't entirely in the toilet at .264, but he's on pace to finish with less than 15 home runs and less than 10 stolen bases for the fourth time in five years.
