BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ team leagues
OWNED IN: 7% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Green Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams was heavily involved in the offense in Week 2, touching the ball a total of 12 times. He only gained 41 total yards on those 12 touches (nine rushes, three receptions) but managed to find the end zone for his first touchdown of the year.
The main attraction to Williams is of course a situation where the team's No. 1 running back Aaron Jones goes down and misses a week or more. Jones has missed eight games the past two seasons (two because of suspension, the others due to injury) and there's a strong chance he'll either miss more time this year or the Packers will be more conscious of managing his workload. In either scenario, Williams stands to benefit.
The Packers have started the season with some tough run defenses in the Bears and Vikings, but things should get easier for Jones and Williams as the year goes on, including an alluring stretch against the Lions, Raiders and Chiefs from Week 6 to Week 8. Add Williams in deep leagues of 14 or more teams and keep him on your radar in smaller leagues. If Jones goes down, Williams becomes a must-add in all formats.
