Trevor Story Blasts Two Home Runs
5 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story drove a pair over the wall on Friday against the Padres as he helped guide the Rockies to the victory. Story's first homer was the front end of a back-to-back grouping that chased Padres starter Joey Lucchesi out of the game in the fourth inning, and then he drilled a solo shot out in the sixth to extend the team's lead. Story now has 32 long balls to go along with 20 stolen bases, 34 doubles, and 104 runs scored. Story is well on his way to topping 35 home runs for the second straight year, and he's still hitting .297. It's been another phenomenal season for the 26-year-old, and it looks like he should be a superstar for the next few years.
