Justin Jackson Gashes Colts In Week 1
5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Justin Jackson was used as the change-of-pace back for Austin Ekeler in the team's first game of the season, and he seemed to fill those shoes without a problem. Jackson racked up 57 yards on just six carries, averaging 9.5 YPC, and it seemed like he never got touched until the second level on every run. A nasty part of player holdouts is the fact that a player risks losing their job completely by holding out because sometimes, teams find out that they've got enough talent waiting in the wings to carry them through. The upside of such a move is that guys like Jackson get their chance. If he can continue to run anywhere near this good in future weeks, expect Jackson to earn himself a whole lot of playing time.
