Start Devonta Freeman In Week 1 With Tempered Expectations
5 years agoAfter an injury-shortened 2018 campaign, Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is now healthy and should be geared up for a big workload in 2019. The Falcons start their season off with a tough road matchup against the Vikings. While the Vikings were better against the pass than they were against the rush last year, they still have a formidable defense that should pose problems for the Falcons' offense as a whole. Freeman should see around 15 touches as the team likely won't want to overwork him out of the gate following his injury-shortened season. Look for Freeman to gain around 80-90 total yards with the potential to add a touchdown. He's a low-end RB2 option.
