Matt Ryan Start-Worthy In Tough Week 1 Matchup
5 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan will have a tough test to start the year as he travels to Minnesota to take on the Vikings, who allowed the third-fewest passing yards in the NFL last year. Things could also get more difficult for Ryan if he's without star wide receiver Julio Jones, whose status is very much in question for Week 1 as he's still in contract negotiations. Ryan was an elite fantasy quarterback last season and even if he doesn't have Jones, he'll still have two very reliable receivers in Calvin Ridley and Mohamed Sanu as well as a great pass-catching running back in Devonta Freeman. While his upside may be limited due to the matchup, he should still end up around 250 passing yards with two touchdowns, making him a low-end QB1.
