Lamar Jackson Could Make Big Splash In Week 1
5 years agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has a favorable Week 1 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. As a mobile quarterback, Jackson's upside stems from his ability to move the ball on the ground and put points on the board all by himself. In 2018, he set the NFL record for most rush attempts in a season by a QB in just seven starts. The Ravens have added value in a progressing passing game and a balanced backfield. If Jackson has decisions to make on how much he'll run or throw this season, Miami might be the best Week one matchup that he could ask for. Last season the Dolphins gave up the second-most rushing yards (2,325) and fourth-most total yards (6,257) in the league. In the last rounds of drafts, Jackson is being selected as the 14th-best ranked quarterback. Against a defense in rebuild mode that will probably finish the 2019 season in the bottom-five, Jackson leaps into top-10 quarterback consideration for Week one.
