Steelers Defense In A Tough Spot To Open Season
5 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers Defense squares off with the New England Patriots on the road to open up the 2019 season. The Steelers are a bit underrated heading into the season, mainly because of this Week 1 Matchup. TJ Watt and Cam Heyward will look to continue their dominance from a season ago. Along with Bud Dupree, the front seven will have their hands full trying to pressure Tom Brady, as well as stop the multi-headed rushing attack that the Patriots possess. Pittsburgh will also need to suppress receivers Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon, so the 30-year-old Joe Haden (ankle) will have his work cut out for him after not playing in the preseason. It's not recommended to put the Steelers in your Week 1 fantasy lineups, but keep an eye on them in future weeks as there is a lot of talent on this side of the ball.
