Lamar Jackson Absent, Trace McSorley Starts
5 years agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson did not play in Thursday's Week 4 preseason matchup against the Washington Redskins. Instead, rookie Trace McSorley got the start. McSorley completed 15 of 27 passes for 171 yards and a touchdown to make his last case for Baltimore to roster its third quarterback behind Robert Griffin III. Just before halftime, McSorley threw a 24-yard, over-the-shoulder touchdown dime to wide receiver Jaleel Scott. Griffin did not play during the preseason due to a right thumb injury but has been solidified as Baltimore's backup and will be ready to play in Week 1. McSorley shouldn't be drafted in any leagues, but his preseason performances give exciting insight into his future.
