Daniel Jones Solid In First Start For Giants
5 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones’ final game of the preseason was short but sweet. He played one drive and completed four of his four pass attempts for 37 yards and no touchdowns. After the Giants were criticized for using the sixth overall pick on him in this year's draft, the rookie from Duke has had a spectacular preseason, completing 85 percent of his passes while finishing with a 137.3 quarterback rating. He won’t be the starting quarterback come Week 1 versus the Cowboys, as that job is still Eli Manning's for now, but he has done everything possible to make the Giants decision to draft him look like a good one. It’s only a matter of time before the team decides to turn the reins over to him, making him a solid bench stash in deep leagues or two-QB leagues while also serving as a solid late-round pick in best-ball formats.
