Yordan Alvarez Mired In First Mini-Slump
5 years agoHouston Astros rookie designated hitter Yordan Alvarez is experiencing his first mini-slump of the season, going only 3-for-22 over his last seven games. The phenom has been unstoppable most of the season but was quiet over the last week. He may be hitting only .136 during that span but Alvarez is still slashing .316/.423/.671 in the month of August with seven doubles, seven home runs and 22 runs batted in. Alvarez has been a menace hitting at Minute Maid Park this season, slashing .340/.444/.670 with 18 extra-base hits and 29 runs batted in through 30 home games. Despite the recent struggles, Alvarez can be trusted to deliver at home.
