Johnny Cueto Struggles In Rehab Outing
5 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Johnny Cueto (elbow) struggled in a rehab start for Triple-A Sacramento, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits while striking out three over 4 1/3 innings. Cueto mentioned he felt physically strong, but he was not pleased with the outing and does not feel ready to return to the Giants rotation just yet. Thirteen months removed from Tommy John surgery, fantasy owners should be wary of inserting Cueto into their rotation upon his return, seeing as he will likely be on a somewhat low pitch count and will have obvious rust to shake off.
