Clayton Kershaw Strikes Out 12 In Losing Effort
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw allowed three runs on four hits in seven innings of work during Sunday's 5-1 loss to the New York Yankees. Kershaw struck out 12 batters in the contest without issuing a walk. Despite the loss, the 31-year-old earned his 20th quality start of the season in 23 appearances. He owns a 13-3 record in 2019 to go along with a 2.76 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 159/31 K/BB rate. Kershaw remains one of the best pitchers in baseball as he looks ahead to the Arizona Diamondbacks in his next projected start.
