BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 6% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: 33-year-old veteran outfielder Dexter Fowler fell way off the fantasy radar with his disastrous 2018 season. However, things have been much better in 2019, and he is finally starting to garner some attention again.
Fowler is hitting leadoff for a surprisingly effective Cardinals lineup, and his .251/.348/.433 slash line, along with 15 home runs, seven stolen bases, 52 RBI and 47 runs scored, is useful in most deeper fantasy formats.
Fowler's exit velocity and hard hit rate are both among the lowest in the league, but his barrel rate is well over double what he posted last year, and at 7.2% would represent a career-high - at least as long as Savant has been tracking that data.
Fowler is worth a look in 14+ team leagues, as his spot atop the order and combo of power and speed make him a worthwhile investment for the rest of the season.
