James Conner Has Pressure To Perform
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner is hands down the top back in town. However, after how the Steelers handled the Le'Veon Bell contract situation, it was clear the team saw extreme value in Conner. The now 24-year-old answered question marks with 1,470 yards from scrimmage, while scoring 13 total touchdowns. Now he has to back that up in 2019, including staying healthy. Fellow running back Jaylen Samuels will be even more prevalent in the Steelers' offense this year, but as long as Conner is healthy and producing, there should be no questions as to who is the number one back in black and gold. His back-end of the first to early second round price tag is a steep one on draft day, but is one that could pay huge dividends in a potentially top tier offense.
