Chris Sale Shouldn't Need Tommy John Surgery
5 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale (elbow) likely avoided Tommy John Surgery, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN.com. Sale met with Dr. James Andrews on Monday, who confirmed inflammation in his left elbow. There is no direct timetable for his return but with how Boston's season has played out, it wouldn't be surprising for the team to very precautious with his rehab. For now, you should hold onto Sale, but if any news breaks that he will be shut down for the season, he can be dropped in all redraft formats.
