Gleyber Torres Continues Double-Vision
Gleyber Torres continued to show his prodigious power on Saturday, homering twice in a 6-5 victory over the Cleveland Indians. Torres now has 29 HR on the year in 472 plate-appearances, a year after hitting 24 HR in 484 PA in his rookie campaign. Today makes a remarkable seven times that Torres has gone deep twice in games in 2019. Still only 22, Torres is one of baseball's best young players and is a premier asset for redraft and dynasty players, putting out elite production at a thin position.

Gleyber Torres Returning On Saturday
Gleyber Torres (hamstring) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. Torres made an early exit on Thursday due to a hamstring issue and as a result he sat out on Friday. Now, Torres is back and will cover second base and bat third versus right-hander Kyle Hendricks on Saturday. Torres has been crushing the ball this season with a .300/.360/.475 slash line and four home runs with 15 RBI heading into Saturday's contest. Fantasy managers should make sure to get Torres back in their lineups.

Gleyber Torres Dealing With Tight Hamstring, Won't Play Friday
Gleyber Torres' hamstring was feeling a little tight, which is why he was removed as a precaution in Thursday's win over the Los Angeles Angels. Torres will not start in Game 2 of the series in Anaheim but was not sent for testing. Torres continued to swing a hot bat in the 10-4 victory against the Halos on Thursday before leaving the game, going 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk to raise his season slash line to .300/.360/.475. The Venezuelan infielder has added four home runs, 15 RBI, 13 runs scored and four stolen bases in 80 at-bats in his first year in Detroit as their starting second baseman. Fantasy managers will want to make sure to remove him from their lineups on Friday, but he should be back in there on Saturday. Torres has already been on the injured list once this year.

Gleyber Torres Stays Hot On Thursday
Gleyber Torres had another big game in a 10-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday. Torres went 3-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk to help propel Detroit to the win. The veteran infielder has now homered in two of his past three contests as he looks to heat up in May. Torres is now hitting .300 with four homers, 13 runs, 15 RBI, and four steals across 80 at-bats this season. He has been especially hot of late, with a .333 average, two homers, and eight RBI over his past seven games. Torres should be locked into fantasy lineups while he's on a hot streak at the plate.

Gleyber Torres Launches Third Homer In Loss
Gleyber Torres went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Houston Astros. He added two singles and a stolen base. His home run came in the top of the ninth inning with the Tigers down by four runs, cutting the deficit to two, though that'd be the final runs they'd push across. The Venezuela native has been solid in his first stint with Detroit, batting .292 with three home runs, four steals, 14 RBI, and 12 runs scored in 18 games. Aside from his average -- which would be the highest of his career if it holds -- Torres is sporting a minuscule 8.0% strikeout rate, placing him in the 98th percentile of all major-league hitters. A change of scenery has boded well for the 28-year-old.
