Peter Lambert Struggles Against Arizona
5 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Peter Lambert showed his wild side against the Diamondbacks on Monday as he walked five batters in just five innings pitched. Lambert ended up escaping with a no-decision because only three of the runners scored and his offense put up six runs while he was in the game, but it still wasn't a good outing by any stretch. Lambert was considered one of the team's top pitching prospects in the minors, but his first year in the bigs has been a tale full of struggles without many bright spots. Carrying a 6.75 ERA and striking out just 6.3 batters per nine innings is not the road to success, and it's looking like Lambert is just another Colorado pitcher for owners to avoid. He'll welcome the lowly Marlins to town this weekend, but the start should be avoided by all but the most desperate of owners.
