Case Keenum Throws Touchdown On Thursday
5 years agoWashington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum completed four passes on nine attempts for 60 yards and a touchdown against the Browns on Thursday night. Most of those yards were accounted for by a 46-yard touchdown when Keenum connected with Robert Davis in the first quarter. As is typically the case with early preseason action, we didn't learn a whole lot that we didn't already know. Keenum, the likely Week 1 starter, played the first few possessions before turning the game over to rookie Dwayne Haskins, who then saw the bulk of the action under center going forward. A veteran like Keenum is primarily expected to play mistake-free football in the preseason. Though his stat line is largely unimpressive outside of the long touchdown, he didn't commit any turnovers and he didn't take any sacks. He's still probably going undrafted in a vast majority of fantasy leagues, but he didn't give his coaching staff any reason to move him down the depth chart.
