BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 23% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Trent Grisham was once ranked among baseball's top prospects, but after back-to-back-to-back seasons of mediocrity in the Brewers farm system, his stock appropriately plummeted. Put that all in the past, because it's certainly in Grisham's rear-view mirror: in 370 AB through 2019 for Double-A Biloxi and Triple-A San Antonio, he has been purely destructive with 26 home runs, 12 steals (in 17 tries), and a .300/.407/.603 slash. That's a pretty significant shift for a guy who used to be considered a high-volume base-runner with modest power and major hitting issues.
To add a cherry on top of the sundae that is Grisham's bounce-back campaign, the major league Brewers have been consistently deploying him in the outfield, and he has made the most out of his MLB debut. In 20 AB across his first six games, he the 22-year-old Texan already has three XBH (two doubles and a home run) and an .854 OPS. Even with his struggles throughout his minor league career, he was always able to reach base with fantastic frequency, maintaining an OBP of .376 over 1,929 plate appearances. If his hitting regresses a little and the learning curve takes effect, his ability to reach base and get to running can still come in handy. With the window of opportunity he has earned with Milwaukee and the vast strides made in his power stroke, Trent Grisham is a potential high-reward asset over the season's final months.
