John Means Has Mediocre Return Start Wednesday
5 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means had an ok start back from the IL in Wednesday's 14-2 loss to the Yankees. Means, who had been out with left shoulder inflammation, allowed four runs on five hits (including a three-run home run) and a walk with five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings pitched. Fantasy owners should cut Means a break here given the tough matchup and the fact that it was his first start back. The All-Star is now 8-7 with a 3.36 ERA, 83 strikeouts, and 28 walks in 101 2/3 IP this season. He will look to rebound in his next start, which will be a rematch with the Yankees on the road.
