Jeff McNeil Exits With Injury
5 years agoThe New York Mets were dealt another injury blow in the second game of Monday's doubleheader with the Miami Marlins. Hours after learning that Robinson Cano would potentially miss the rest of the season with a torn hamstring, utility player Jeff McNeil would exit the nightcap early. McNeil, one of the best hitters in baseball, appeared to have suffered a calf strain, with the club later calling it a calf cramp. Perhaps the injury simply comes down to dehydration, but more will be revealed after Monday night's game. The 27-year-old is batting .337 on the season.
