James Paxton Bounces Back Against Boston
5 years agoHaving been rocked at Fenway Park exactly a week before, New York Yankees starter James Paxton returned to the Yankee Stadium mound for another shot at the Red Sox. This time, however, the Canadian native got the better of the defending champions, picking up a quality start. Paxton went six innings, allowing just two runs on two hits and three walks. He also struck out six in the process, having allowed both earned runs on a first-inning home run. While this was a strong start for the 30-year-old, his struggles in the first inning struck again. Regardless, this is the kind of performance the Yankees will hope for down the stretch and into the postseason.
